Barber Electric “Type 4 Lift Off Cover Enclosures” are designed to house electrical controls and instruments in area which may be regularly hosed down or are otherwise very wet.
These enclosures are made from 14 gauge steel and have a strong and rigid construction. All seams are continuously welded and there are no holes or knockouts. A rolled lip is provided around all four sides of the door and around all sides of the enclosure opening. This lip increases strength and keeps dirt and liquids from dropping into the enclosure when the door is opened. Neoprene gasket insures a water-tight seal around the door opening. The door clamps are quick and easy to operate, and a hasp and staple are provided for padlocking. Each enclosure is also provided with a print pocket. Body stiffeners are provided for larger enclosures to ensure stability. External feet are furnished for mounting. Collar studs are provided for mounting the optional panel. Panels must be ordered separately.
The standard finish for these enclosures is ANSI 61 gray polyester powder coat. Barber Electric can provide special finishes upon request.
